Apple Falling Farther From The Tree As Ivanka Diverts from Dad

Not a single American should be shocked or in awe of someone who claims that Donald Trump is a controversial President.  In even the most academic sense of the word, that has to be true.

Some of this aura comes from the President’s life as a boisterous showman with the business acumen to back up his boldness.  Now, as Commander in Chief, he’s bringing a whole lot of the boardroom to the Oval Office, and that hasn’t exactly rubbed everyone the right way.

The D.C. Swamp, for instance, has felt their grubby establishment pockets lighten more than just a little with Trump in the West Wing.  They work for We The People, and the President was quite sure to remind them of that during his premiere State of the Union address.

As with all controversial men, (which could be all great men, if we’re being honest), Donald Trump will have his detractors both far and near.  One such person, as it turns out, is First Daughter Ivanka.

First Daughter Ivanka Trump has reportedly broken ranks with her father over his “media is the enemy of the people” theme, saying at an Axios event Thursday that she doesn’t agree with that description.

Axios reports:

Ivanka Trump said at an Axios event on Thursday that she doesn’t view the media as the “enemy of the people,” breaking with President Trump’s repeated public statements. … Ivanka noted that she herself has been the subject of stories she knows to be false, but that she doesn’t believe the media is the enemy.

Trump’s war with the “Fake News Media” continued in full force this week, with a series of tweets ripping biased media outlets and punctuated by Trump supporters giving CNN’s Jim Acosta a brutal welcome to a Trump rally in Tampa on Tuesday.

Acosta was greeted with chants of “CNN sucks” from the jaded media observers in attendance.

Will this be the last time that Ivanka and Pops are on the outs this week?
