Ann Coulter May Receive Army Escort to Speaking Engagement at Berkeley

The riots that occurred surround Milo Yiannopolous’ visit to the University of California at Berkeley have drastically changed the way conservatives must participate in public appearances.

As student violence spilled off of campus into the downtown areas of Berkeley, police and first responders were overwhelmed by the disturbing reality of what was occurring.  The violence that they wrought on the normally peaceful college town was wildly inappropriate and ushered in a new wave of aggressive liberal censorship.  The New Fascism movement had found a new home on the west coast.

Now, with conservative author and pundit Ann Coulter scheduled to speak at the college, which ironically touts itself as the “home of free speech”, students once again were considered to be a threat to the appearance.  Coulter countered with a demand to maintain her original date and location once the college attempted to capitulate the miscreant millennials.

Now, it looks as though Coulter may have some mighty help in getting to the venue.

“Ann Coulter is determined to speak at the University of California-Berkeley on the day she was scheduled — and many are saying she should have an Army National Guard escort if the threat of violence from the left can’t be controlled by the university.

“According to The Washington Post, problems began when the university canceled the conservative commentator’s April 27 appearance. The university quickly backtracked after national criticism and said it would reschedule for May 2, saying they had located a safe venue.

“President Donald Trump ‘should send his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, in there to walk Ann Coulter onto the Berkeley campus so she can give her speech,’ conservative radio talk show star Mark Levin said on his showWednesday. ‘Either we have a Constitution, or we don’t!'”

The absurdity of the situation was not lost on Coulter, or Bill Maher for that matter, as many are comparing this violence-induced censorship to the book burning of Nazi Germany and an affront to the First Amendment.
