Alabama Set To Protect Police From Attacks With Hate Crime Designation

As liberal protesters across the nation continue to plan vile and despicable new ways to spread their New Fascist movement, America’s police force is unfortunately taking the brunt of their rage.

These leftist agitators have a sort of blind hatred toward authority, long cultivated from deep within the liberal ideologies of democratic politicians.  It’s part of their shared progressive heritage, certainly, that has caused such a distrust of those sworn to serve and protect us.  It is this particular attitude, and the media’s frequent ignoring of anti-police matters, that have emboldened these leftist miscreants to lash out against the men and women in blue.

Now, months after the tragic murder of 5 police officers in Dallas, Texas at the hands of liberal Black Lives Matter radicals, the State of Alabama is ready to severely enhance the punishment for hoodlums who have chosen to target America’s police with new legislation that would make such actions prosecutable hate crimes.

“This week Alabama Rep. John Rogers asked the state House to pass a new lawidentifying police officers as a ‘protected group’ so that those who attack them can be prosecuted more severely.

“’It is a hate crime because it attacks a certain class of individuals: police officers,’ Rogers said to WBRC Fox6 in Birmingham.

“According to the FBI, a hate crime is a ‘criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity.’ The status of protected classes is limited at the federal level, but allows room for each state to create additional protected classes in accordance with their laws. Rogers’ proposition would make police officers a protected class in Alabama.”

For many with loved ones in law enforcement, this move is a long time coming in Alabama.

The rest of the nation should be lining up behind such legislation as well, given the sacrifice that these brave men and women make on a daily basis to protect the freedoms that we hold so dear.  The leftists of America have allowed police to be portrayed as the enemy for far too long, even going so far as to implement their hate speech into modern culture.  Hip hop music, television, and movies have been featuring anti-police and anti-authority themes for decades, thanks to the instigation from groups such as the Black Panthers in the 60’s and Black Lives Matter in the 2010’s.

There is no undercover police agenda that targets minorities.  There are no secret meetings in which officers gather to discuss how best to alienate the African American community.  There are some bad cops out there, certainly, just as there are some truly evil liberal activists…the type that would gun down innocent police officers.
