ACLU Stands Up For Milo in Free Speech Advertising Suit

The liberal war against conservative free speech has been heating up since February of this year when UC Berkeley did the unthinkable.

In February, conservative author and pundit Milo Yiannopolous was scheduled to speak at the University of California at Berkeley, ironically nicknamed the “birthplace” of free speech.  Liberal students on campus, however had a different plan that would force the University into canceling the engagement…all because of their disagreement with Yiannopolous’ politics.

They rioted.

Not only did they riot, but the demonstrations spilled over into the town of Berkeley itself where millions of dollars in damage were done, almost exclusively to private property.

Now, as this ridiculous fight against the First Amendment continues to smolder under the ruins of Berkeley, the ACLU has come to Milo’s side in another case of liberal New Fascism…this time in our nation’s capital.

“The ACLU is representing a ‘diverse group of plaintiffs’ in the new lawsuit, including an abortion provider, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and conservative firebrand Milo Yiannopoulos.

“’To put it mildly, these plaintiffs have nothing in common politically. But together, they powerfully illustrate the indivisibility of the First Amendment,’ the ACLU said in a blog post Wednesday. “’Our free speech rights rise and fall together — whether left, right, pro-choice, anti-choice, vegan, carnivore, or none of the above.’

“Metro initially agreed to advertise Yiannopoulos’s new book, ‘Dangerous.’ The ads featured descriptions of him from other publications such as, ‘the most hated man on the internet,’ ‘The ultimate troll’ and ‘The Kanye West of Journalism.’

“But they were pulled from transit stations and subway cars after just 10 days, following complaints from riders about the right-wing personality. Metro said at the time that the promotions violated its advertising policy.”

In the world of the political left, the First Amendment needs amending.

You see, as the liberals continue to pathetically attempt a weaponization of emotions, many leftists have called for offensive remarks to be outlawed, effectively neutering this most sacred of American rights.  The idea, as absurd as it is, has been gaining ground in recent weeks as celebrities such as Chelsea Handler lamenting via social media about her wish to outlaw “finding racism funny”.
