2016 RNC Day 1: Lt. Gen. Flynn, Marcus Luttrell, Jamiel Shaw, Patricia Smith

We covered the speeches of our political leaders in an earlier post, but this one will cover the speeches from a few other important Americans. While Day 1 saw speeches from Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson and Happy Days’ Scott Baio, these aren’t the speeches we have for you below.

Instead, we’ve got the speeches of Retired Lt. General Michael Flynn, who some thought might be the next Vice President, and who told the crowd that Hillary Clinton would be a clone of Barack Obama. We also have video from “Lone Survivor” Marcus Luttrell, anti-illegal immigration activist Jamiel Shaw Sr., and the mother of one of the Benghazi terror attack victims, Patricia Smith, who had some harsh (and controversial) words for Hillary Clinton.

Ret. Lt. General Michael Flynn:

From this day forward, from this day forward, we must stand tougher and a stronger together with an unrelenting goal to not draw a red line and then retreat. And to never be satisfied with reckless rhetoric from an Obama clone like Hillary Clinton.

We must draw from the rich foundation of our founding fathers’ fight for democracy, and lead our friends and allies with more determination than ever before. With conviction, with conviction in our police that pierces through the ideology of any people or any nation that attacks America, America’s way of life and are proud heritage of fearlessness and courage.

Tonight, America stands as one.

Marcus Luttrell – the “lone survivor” from a military operation in Afghanistan:

Every one of us have to step up in some way. We need our leaders to lead by example. Excuse me. They need to lead by example and show the American public that each and every life underneath the flag should be family and treated accordingly. I’m sorry. I’m so used to speaking from the heart. When I have to read this it goes wrong. I’m just going to go. Are you ready?

Not only do the leaders have to step up and support us. But the family and those of us in here we are all family we step up and back them up too. Not only that we hold them accountable for every position and office that they hold.

Look, either way, the only way we survive this is together, not apart. In order for any life to matter, we all have to matter. Do you understand?

Jamiel Shaw Sr., whose son was murdered by a criminal illegal immigrant who had been deported multiple times:

“I’ll say it again like I’ve said it before, Trump is sent from God. Support Trump/Pence. Let’s come together and make America safe and great again.”

Patricia Smith, mother of Sean Smith who died in the Benghazi terror attack:

Smith’s speech became instantly controversial with the liberal media, and you can read her entire transcript below the video.

The last time I talked to Sean, the night before the terrorist attack, he told me, ‘Mom, I am going to die.’

All security had been pulled from the embassy, he explained. And when he asked why, he never received a response. Nobody listened. Nobody seemed to care. The very next day, he was murdered by radical Islamic terrorists.

To this day, I don’t even know why a computer guy like Sean was sent to Benghazi. That night, we lost sons, brothers, fathers and husbands. We lost four brave Americans, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country they chose to serve. And the American people lost the truth.

For all of this loss, for all of this grief, for all of the citizens and the tragedy of Benghazi has brought upon America, I blame Hillary Clinton!

I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son. Personally!

In an email to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on terrorism. But when I saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony two days later, she looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible.

Since then, I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to explain to me the real reason why my son is dead.

I’m still waiting.

Whenever I call the state department, no one would speak to me, because they say I am not a member of the immediate family.

Sean is my son.

Hillary Clinton is a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two. I am a woman, a mother and a grandmother of two. How could she do this to me? How could she do this to any American family?

Donald Trump is everything Hillary Clinton is not. He is blunt, direct and strong. He speaks his mind and his heart. And when it comes to the threat posed by radical Islamic terrorism, he will not hesitate to kill the terrorists who threaten American lives.

He will make America stronger, not weaker.

This entire campaign comes down to a single question: If Hillary Clinton can’t give us the truth, why should we give her the presidency?

That’s right: Hillary for prison. She deserves to be in stripes.

Constitution.com 🇺🇸

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
