It is not strange to see people acting out anymore. It is actually the rule rather than the exception. People do not like the service they received, they throw plates and curse the waiter. People do not like who won the presidential elections, they riot.
Most of the rioters must have felt that there would be no ramifications for their actions. No one would dare bring charges against them for rioting. After all, there has been almost nonstop rioting over the last five years, and no one has said boo about it.
Well, there is a change a coming, and the riot crowd ain’t gonna like it none too much.
A total of 214 people involved in protests on Inauguration Day in downtown Washington have been indicted on felony rioting charges.
A grand jury in D.C. charged five individuals Tuesday with felony rioting in addition to the 209 other defendants indicted on felony rioting charges earlier in February, CNN reported.
The penalty for felony rioting carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Remember the scenes on the streets of D.C.? The crowds in black, throwing bottles and other objects at the police. It was a little discouraging that the police would have to face such a thing and nothing be done about it. Well, there now is something being done. The law is being enforced.
It is time to wake up to the fact that we have raised a generation that does not know consequences. They have never faced them, and they do not believe that anyone can make them face the result of their actions.
Welcome to the real world kids.
I wonder how many of Obama’s 30,000 is ready to face ten years for him?
Not many I wouldn’t think.
