As more people are arrested in connection with the Bundy Ranch siege in 2014 and the Oregon protest that took place earlier this year, attorneys for the defendants are concerned that their family members and friends are being put on the Terrorist Watch List– a list that has no criteria and is a clear violation of the Fifth Amendment.
Deb Jordan, who is the co-host of the Pete Santilli Show, recently said that “The attorneys are concerned that the family members and those close to these guys are being monitored. Their concern is that they’re being put on the terror watch list, monitoring phone calls with attorneys and others.”
Back in December, before the events unfolded in Oregon, Santilli and Jordan were held at gun point by Ohio police and were told that Santilli was listed on the Terrorist Watch List. Later, Jordan was released, but Santilli faced a gun charge, which was later dropped.
The unconstitutional Terrorist Watch List is something Obama has sought to expand to use to keep law abiding citizens from purchasing guns. Yet, he has failed to provide any evidence that he is not violating the Constitution or how the List would actually prevent and/or stop crime.
Consider the kind of people on the Terrorist Watch List whose Fifth Amendment rights have been violated:
- Retired Coast Guard commander,
- This prepper,
- This eight year-old,
- This four year-old,
- This 18 month-old baby, and
- A presidential candidate.
One New York senator even introduced a bill that would actually confiscate guns if someone’s name appeared on the list, violating the rights of every citizen on it.
Understanding the criminal actions of the federal government, specifically those Edward Snowden exposed from the National Security Agency and its unconstitutional warrantless surveillance of millions of Americans, the Bundys’s attorneys’ concerns are understandable.
Pete Santilli and others arrested by the federal government need encouragement and financial support from their fellow citizens. Anyone able and willing, can donate to help with Santilli’s legal fees by clicking here.
