We are finding out that it does not matter if you are not discriminating against a group or “class” of people. What is important is that you are resisting the move away from what has been the norm. If you stand with the traditional definition of marriage, you now are a bigot. Now it is bathrooms. And North Carolina is finding that you can be like a majority of other states, but still be punished.
The New York Times reports
The Obama administration is considering whether North Carolina’s new law on gay and transgender rights makes the state ineligible for billions of dollars in federal aid for schools, highways and housing, officials said Friday.
So, now that the anti-republican businesses and their public pressure on the state have not made the legislature or the governor repeal the North Carolina’s Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act, and this means that the President has to get involved? Even though this law does not remove any rights from the individual. Even though most states do not allow men in women’s bathrooms, North Carolina could possibly be punished. And it is easy to see that this is bully tactics.
The Federalist reports
Obviously, there is a full-court press of intimidation being leveled at North Carolina for standing up for a common-sense privacy law. This hysteria over HB2 shows the power LGBT militants and their sycophants in Hollywood and big business exert over the minds of Americans, which results in nothing less than propagandized groupthink rooted in mass delusion.
If McCrory does not concede, we can expect more of the same. Even though, the local businesses and women’s groups have supported the protection. What one has to wonder is, what will the state do without this federal funding?
How about stop all state funded federal programs, and reject all federal requirements in state schools? How about passing a tax credit for all private schools and home schoolers? And put a freeze on all state monies going to the central government?
If Obama wants to play political games with the safety of our women and children, then let’s just see who cries uncle first.
