During a speech before the Jewish Federation in Iowa yesterday, former Secretary of State and current Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton got into a coughing fit that lasted a minute.
In an apparent attempt to make light of the situation, she said, “We do talk a lot in this campaign,” which elicited a small amount of laughter from the audience. Reminiscent of Senator Marco Rubio’s response to Obama’s 2013 State of the Union address, Hillary Clinton reached for her water to take a sip, but it wasn’t sufficient to quell her cough. Her second remedy was a throat lozenge that allowed her to speak, albeit in a raspy voice:
Her coughing episode raises questions once again about whether she is healthy enough to be president.
During one of the Democratic presidential debates last month, Hillary Clinton was gone on what was assumed to be a restroom break during the debate’s scheduled commercials. She was gone long enough for the debate moderators to decide to continue without her. When they had started questioning her Democratic rival Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton returned to the stage and apologized, saying, “You know, it does take me a little longer. That’s all I can say.” According to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, she was gone longer, because the women’s restrooms were further away than the men’s restrooms.
However, according to law enforcement officials who have worked with Hillary Clinton, the reason she was gone longer than the debate’s five-minute commercial break had to do with her post-concussion syndrome.
John Cardillo, who has worked as a security official for the New York Police Department (NYPD), told Breitbart News that he and two other law enforcement officials independent of each other witnessed the same thing:
“Both of them told me the same thing, that after her speeches, whether she did a talk or a policy speech, she had to sit behind – she would come off the podium backstage – and have to sit and rest before making it back to the car because she was so fatigued, dizzy and disoriented.”
During the Benghazi hearings before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee three years ago, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was wearing special glasses that correct double vision, a symptom commonly associated with concussions. In 2012, Hillary Clinton had fallen and hit her head while suffering dehydration from a stomach virus.
In addition, according to Breitbart News, Hillary Clinton “has a medical condition called hypothyroidism, commonly caused by an underactive thyroid, which could diminish her energy levels.” It’s for this condition and for her 2012 concussion that she takes “blood thinner medication and daily thyroid pills.”
