Trump’s “Police Week” Not The Only Blue Lives Matter Story This Week

Thanks to the absurd behavior of the American leftists, police across the country have been victimized by radical liberals for well over a year.

Organizations such as the Black Live Matter domestic terror group, who many believe should be classified as a hate group, were unfortunately successful in radicalizing some followers into acting out violently against the brave men and women in uniform.  The murder of 5 police officers in Dallas, Texas in 2016 stands as the most egregious of the BLM-centric incidents, but it is by far not alone.

Where Former President Barack Obama had outright refused to commemorate these five officers with a special blue illumination of the White House, Donald Trump has made a stunning reversal of presidential policy.  Not only will the White House be rendered a striking shade of blue in order to celebrate the service of our nation’s police officers, the sitting President has declared that this week will forever be known as “Peace Officers Memorial Week” in order to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty.

It is highly appropriate, then, that one fallen officer’s colleagues should reach out to his family in this time of mourning, and, specifically, to his daughter who attended prom this weekend without her father there to celebrate.

“The Riverside Police Department escorted Rachel Jacobs, 17, to her high school prom in honor of her late father Detective Doug Jacobs, Fox Los Angeles reported.

“Detective Doug Jacobs, Rachel’s father, died in the line of duty when Rachel was a six-month-old infant.

“To Rachel’s surprise, Detective Jacobs’ colleagues showed up at her house with a full police escort, including an air unit to give her and her date an incredible send-off.

“The officers also gave her date ‘a talking-to’ before giving the couple the grand send-off.

“The police department’s Aerial Support Division, also known as ‘Air 1,’ captured the moments on camera with a flyover view of the occasion.”

Hopefully, under the guidance of America’s conservative leadership in Washington, and with Donald Trump express respect for our police force, heartbreaking moments such as the death of Doug Jacobs can continue to be offset by wonderful displays of respect and admiration for our nation’s men and women in blue.
