Trump Popular And Obama Not: News You Won’t See on CNN

A new poll find Donald Trump popular—at least more popular than the media says he is.

If you ask the mainstream media, “Is Trump popular?” they will assure you that he is not. Rachel Maddow is typical:

But they are being selective with the data. There are, to quote the notorious Kellyanne Conway, “alternative facts.” One such fact comes from Rasmussen:

The Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-one percent (41%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 44% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 31% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +13 (see trends).

In the latest of this week’s executive orders, Trump has begun a crackdown on illegal immigration, adding thousands of Border Patrol agents, starting the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and cutting federal funds to so-called sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce immigration law. He also has imposed a temporary ban on refugees from and visas for citizens of several Middle Eastern countries until the U.S. government can do a better job screening out possible terrorists.

Perhaps the media prefer other pollsters. But Rasmussen did better than many in projecting a possible Trump win. Their findings seem to be more reliable.

According to Investor’s Business Daily,

As President Obama left the White House, the mainstream press was falling over itself proclaiming how popular he was.

“Obama leaving office on a very high note,” was a typical headline.

Yet despite the media’s fixation with polls, the press completely buried one of the more newsworthy poll findings — a Gallup report that came out last Friday, which took a final look at the President Obama’s popularity over his eight years in office.

That poll found that Obama’s overall average approval rating was a dismal 47.9%.

Only three presidents scored worse than Obama since Gallup started doing these surveys in 1945: never-elected Gerald Ford (47.2%), one-termer Jimmy Carter (45.4%), and Harry Truman (45.4%).

Obama even did worse overall than Richard Nixon, whose average approval was 49%, and was less popular overall than George W. Bush, who got an average 49.4%.

Is that a message that the media is sending?

Not at all.

While they constantly tell us negative things about Donald Trump and his popularity compared to other Presidents, they aren’t interested in measuring Barack Obama in the same way. And if you question their message, journalists are more than ready to complain about “fake news” and say that your making up “alternative facts.”

Investor’s Business Daily claims that none of the mainstream media outlets reported on Gallup’s finding. They probably have plenty of other polls they like better, or human interest stories that fit their propaganda “needs” more closely that they can use to distract viewers and readers from the inconvenient polls.

Biased media is nothing new. But the mainstream media is now trying to organize itself as a church with the power to punish heretics and expel “false teachers.” The way they report and fail to report stories according to the globalist, progressive perspective demonstrates that the more they do this the more intensely they become a “false news” source.
