The ability of Donald Trump to press forward in ways that no other U.S. President could is now being recognized on a global stage.
Trump, the unconventional President that our nation so desperately needed to elect, has been making waves in the Middle East this week on the first international trip of his young presidency. The businessman-turned-President brings with him a unique perspective and skill set to meeting with leaders in the volatile region, and his message of peace and cooperation in fighting terrorism is resonating loudly among top leaders.
One such fan of Trump is Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet with Trump. In their brief encounter, Sisi made it a point to deliver extreme praise to his U.S. counterpart, with words that will surely have the American political left stammering to respond.
“’Mr. President, let me express our appreciation and respect,’ Sisi said through a translator.
“’Let me say that you have a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible.’
“Trump laughed and replied, ‘That’s very interesting…I agree.’
“CNN White House reporter Jeremy Diamond characterized the meeting between the two as ‘a buddy comedy routine.’
“Meanwhile, on Monday, Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.”
Trump’s visit to the Middle East comes at a very precarious moment in time. Back in the States, investigations into Trump’s firing of the incompetent former FBI Director James Comey are continuing to devolve into a witch hunt of sorts. Adversely, the mysterious death of DNC staffer Seth Rich is gaining national attention, finally, as sources continue to come forward claiming that Rich was the man responsible for leaking thousands of DNC emails to Wikileaks for the purpose of deflating Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations.
Should the Seth Rich story be corroborated, the intriguing tale of his death in a “robbery gone wrong” will certainly come under further scrutiny, possibly revealing a vast collusion between the DNC and his assailants.
By the time Trump returns to Washington D.C., he could be coming home a hero or preparing for impeachment hearings. And, like President Sisi exclaimed, anything is possible.
