There is no way of knowing what our neighbors are really like. It is hard to tell what one is capable of doing when in the privacy of their home. And though many have set up safeguards to protect our children, there are always those who find a way around those safeguards.
This has shown to be the case in San Antonio, Texas. We cannot expect an organization or school to know that a person has a problem if they have never been caught. These organizations have no way of knowing that these people are predators until they show what they are for the first time.
San Antonio, Texas, police officers arrested a local high school teacher and church group leader Wednesday. He is accused of hosting sex parties with teenage boys in his home, and it appears his neighbors never even knew.
The suspect, Jared Anderson, 28, confessed to lewd conduct with at least 10 teenage boys. Local law enforcement charged him with one count of indecency with a child, a third-degree felony, and two second-degree felony counts of sexual performance of a child, according to the Bexar County jail records. The records did not indicate bail amounts. However, FOX 29 reported the county set bond at $150,000, noting that the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) continues to probe the matter, and there could be as many as 12 charges upon the investigation’s completion.
Apparently, Anderson was having teenage boys come to his house for parties. They would be encouraged to expose themselves and even send pictures of their gentiles to Anderson. After this had gone on for several months, a couple of the victims went to the LDS fellowship and reported the incident.
Approximately the same time, a few boys reported the same to the police. With the LDS report, it was confirmed that these perversions were occurring, and Anderson was arrested.
Anderson is the second teacher at Judson High arrested since the start of 2016 for sexual misconduct with a minor.
