One of the consistencies of Barack Obama is his inconsistency of his policies and arguments.
How many times have you heard Obama call for more gun control in order to save lives? He claims that it’s necessary to violate the constitutional rights of every American in order to prevent more mass shootings, thus saving lives.
One can even look at the November 13, 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. France has strict gun control laws which did nothing to prevent the attacks and possibly even contributed to the success of them. The Eagles of Death Metal band was performing on stage at the Bataclan Theater at the time of the attack. Jesse Hughes, lead singer for the group criticized the French gun control laws, saying:
“Did your French gun control stop a single f–king person from dying at the Bataclan? And if anyone can answer yes, I’d like to hear it, because I don’t think so. I think the only thing that stopped it was some of the bravest men that I’ve ever seen in my life charging head-first into the face of death with their firearms.”
“I know people will disagree with me, but it just seems like God made men and women, and that night guns made them equal. I think the only way that my mind has been changed is that maybe that until nobody has guns everybody has to have them.”
Hughes has long supported gun rights and he said what happened in Paris only confirms his support for gun rights, not gun control.
That’s great but how does this relate to Obama’s Syrian Refugee policy?
Obama basically wants an open door to allow tens of thousands of Syrian refugees to enter America. He believes the current screening procedures in place will catch any terrorists trying to hide among the refugees and therefore making those allowed to enter safe.
Now consider that the very same screening process allowed Tashfeen Malik into the country. Less than 2 years later, she and her husband Syed Farook committed an act of Islamic terrorism by killing 14 and wounding 22 others in San Bernardino. If this is the same screening policy that Obama claims is safe, then we can be assured that more Islamic terrorists will sneak into the US amongst the thousands of Syrian refugees and they will carry out more mass killings of American citizens.
French police also identified one of the terrorists in Paris had gained entrance into Europe and France by hiding among thousands of Syrian refugees and holding a Syrian refugee emergency passport. It’s certain that the same thing will continue to happen here in the US.
Barack Obama is betting our lives on the safety of his current screening programs yet he wants to restrict our right own and carry firearms to protect ourselves from these terrorists and others that want to do us harm. He’s willing to trample down our constitutional rights to protect ourselves at the same time his actions will only increase the threat of harm to us all.
If he argues that more gun control is needed to save lives, then he should be taking a similar stand to restrict Syrian refugees for the same reason – to save lives. His current stand on the two issues are diametrically opposite to each other, proving his logic is flawed and his efforts to enforce stricter gun control laws has nothing to do with saving lives.
You could even add Obama’s stand on illegal aliens to the argument that he is inconsistent and his policies are contradictory to each other. His open door policy for illegals has allowed thousands of felons and violence gang members into the US. They have been busy robbing, assaulting, beating, raping and killing American citizens and yet Obama has taken no action to stop them. In fact, his policies have allowed tens of thousands of criminal illegals to be released from US custody so they can continue their crimes against US citizens.
Obama’s policies on illegals and Syrian refugees will cost American lives. Obama’s policies on gun control will also cost American lives, not save them. Clearly Obama has no concern for the lives of American citizens, only his personal agenda to disarm Americans and wreak havoc throughout our nation, all at our expense.
