Putin Calls Democrats “Sore Losers” says they Only have Themselves to Blame

At his annual press conference in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin had some scathing remarks about the Democratic Party, saying they’ve forgotten the meaning of their own name, and calling them sore losers for trying to blame all their failures on external forces instead of owning up to their mistakes.

Here’s some of what he said, as translated by Reuters:

“The current [U.S.] administration and the Democratic Party leadership are trying to blame external factors for all their problems…

“We know that the Democratic Party lost not only the presidential election, but also Senate and Congressional elections. Is this also the result of my work?…

“They are losing on all fronts, but looking for the guilty ones outside…

“In my opinion, it is humiliating. One must be willing to lose with dignity…

“I would really like to build business constructive relations with the newly-elected president and with future leaders of the Democratic Party, so that both the United States and the Russian federation – both nations benefit from it…

“After the hackers revealed the manipulation of public opinion within the Democratic Party by one candidate against another candidate Mr. Sanders, the head of the Democratic National Committee resigned. This means she admitted that what the hackers showed was the truth. For instead of apologizing to voters and saying, ‘Forgive us; it was a mistake; we will correct it!’ Instead, they started screaming about who was behind the hacking. Is this important?”
