Harry Reid

Possibly Senile Harry Reid Calls Mother of Benghazi Victim “Crazy” for being Anti-Clinton!

The hypocrisy and bias that runs rampant throughout the mainstream media was on full display in July when the media rushed to the aide of the Khan family against Donald Trump, but chose not to defend Benghazi mom Patricia Smith from Hillary Clinton. It was a perfect juxtaposition whereby Trump became a villain, the Khan’s became victims, and Clinton was allowed to call Smith (and the other Benghazi families) liars without any media attention whatsoever. No doubt, the same disgusting display of indifference will continue now, even as another Democrat mocks and derides Ms. Smith’s pain.

Over the last few years it has been Hillary Clinton who has ignored, lied to, and abused Patricia Smith, but this week, Senate minority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) joined the campaign of hate against the Smith family.

Reid recently sat down with the Reno Gazette-Journal to talk about the upcoming presidential election, the race to replace him in the Senate, and apparently, the Benghazi scandal. Reid called Smith’s speech at the RNC where Ms. Smith reminded all of America about Clinton’s failures and lies in the wake of the Benghazi attack “crazy.”

“They had that poor Smith woman come out and say ‘Hillary Clinton killed my son.’ How crazy…” Reid immediately seemed to understand that he may have chosen his words poorly and backtracked by saying “Maybe that’s the wrong word.”

Reid also defended his 2012 lies about Mitt Romney, said he wasn’t partisan at all, and argued that he wasn’t a liar because while he might say things that weren’t true, they were how he felt.

Speaking about his willingness to lie about Mitt Romney’s tax returns, Reid argued:

“I tell the truth. It may not be the truth, it’s how I feel.”

Um. Okay.

Then in an attempt to defend himself against being called “hyper-partisan” Reid offered this nugget.

“I don’t accept anybody that criticizes me for being partisan, because I’m not. Only when I have to be, which is a lot lately.”

Um…

The Reno Gazette-Journal asked the Republican attempting to win Reid’s Senate seat what he thought of some of Reid’s comments, and Rep. Joe Heck (R-NV) may have said it best, or at least most accurately, when he laughed Reid’s comments off and said:

“We all know Harry hasn’t been firing on all cylinders over the past couple years and this is just another example of how out of touch he is with Nevadans. His retirement cannot come soon enough so that Nevada can have someone who truly represents them in this seat.”

Amen, Rep. Heck. Amen.
