When President Donald Trump issued his executive order calling for a temporary halt on immigrants and refugees, especially from the seven nations with a record of producing terrorists, liberals went bonkers. They rushed to the courts to file their lawsuits to block the President’s attempt to better protect America, something Obama cared little about doing.
Then Judge James Robart of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington, ruled against President Trump and ordered a blockage of his executive order. In his ruling, he cited that there had not been a single documented terrorist attack in the US by anyone from the 7 countries. What he failed to admit is that it was Barack Obama and his Congress that identified those 7 countries, not Trump or anyone in his administration.
What will Robart say if there is a terrorist attack here in the US committed by someone allowed into the US during his blockage of Trump’s order?
After Robart issued his order which was upheld by the most liberal court in the nation, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, Syrian President Bashar Assad told the media that some of the terrorists rushing to enter the US are definitely terrorists. When asked if there was a danger posed by terrorists posing as some of the 4.8 million refugees that have fled his nation, he responded ‘definitely.’
Assad also pointed out that it doesn’t take a large number of terrorist to carry out lethal attacks. He specifically mentioned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by fewer than 20 terrorists. He went on to say:
“You can find it on the Net. Those terrorists in Syria, holding the machine gun or killing people, they [appear as] peaceful refugees in Europe or in the West.”
“…you don’t need a significant number to commit atrocities…out of maybe millions of immigrants in the United States. So, it’s not about the number, it’s about the quality, it’s about the intentions.”
So how safe do the American people feel about the liberal court blockage of Trump’s immigration and refugee ban?
In one poll:
“54% of Likely U.S. Voters believe increasing the number of refugees from Syria, Iraq and other suspect Middle Eastern and African countries poses an increased national security risk to the United States. Thirty-three percent (33%) disagree, while 12% are undecided.”
It’s no surprise that 77% of Republican voters and 52% of voters not affiliated with any party believe that the acceptance of refugees from Syria, Iraq and the other countries pose an increased risk to our national security. However, only 35% of Democrats agreed and 50% disagreed.
The liberal media is also making a big deal over ICE officials arresting and deporting illegals who have been convicted of crimes. They have blown it all out of proportion and ignoring that around 3 million illegals were deported under the Obama administration.
However, the immigration arrests being made now are for many that Obama illegally allowed to remain in the country. The media portrays them as poor souls like one lady who has taken sanctuary in a Colorado church for fear of being deported. The media downplayed the fact that not only was she in the US illegally, but she was also convicted of using a false Social Security Number. They also ignore the fact that she’s been in the US for at least 20 years but still had to conduct her media interview in Spanish, because after two decades in the United States, she still can’t speak that much English. She had a temporary work visa but that expired a few years ago, but the media ignored that also.
Another poll indicated that a majority of Americans also believe that immigrants who overstay their visas can pose a threat to national security:
“A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters consider those who overstay their visas to be a serious national security risk, with 25% who say they are a Very Serious one. This compares, however, to 68% and 32% respectively in January of last year. Thirty-six percent (36%) now feel those who have overstayed here illegally are not a serious threat, although that includes only nine percent (9%) who say the threat is Not At All Serious.”
“Sixty-two percent (62%) believe the government should find those who have overstayed their legal visas and deport them, up from 55% four years ago. Just 21% disagree, while 16% are undecided.”
“Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters feel the government is not aggressive enough in finding those who have overstayed their visas and sending them home. This is down dramatically, though, from 72% who felt that way in January 2016. Nineteen percent (19%) think the government is too aggressive, compared to only four percent (4%) who felt that way last year, while just as many (20%) say the level of enforcement is about right.”
You can bet that the liberal media will never report the results of these polls as it goes against the liberal agenda where they value illegals and immigrants more than they value American citizens. Next time you talk to one of these bleeding-heart liberals, ask them why they place foreigners over US citizens and our national security?
