Last month I reported that Barack Obama had created an open hunting season on police officers. After the 2014 shooting death of Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri Police Officer Darren Wilson, Obama publicly sided with black criminals instead of law enforcement officers.
Preliminary reports indicated that Brown was wanted as a suspect in a convenience store robbery and assault when he was confronted by Wilson, but Obama spoke as if Brown was an innocent little angel. In America, a person is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but Obama condemned Officer Wilson for doing his job long before the facts and evidence of the investigation were made known and before it was heard by a grand jury. After the grand jury heard from over a dozen witnesses and tons of evidence, they unanimously agreed that Brown was at fault for his own death since he was physically assaulting Officer Wilson, fracturing his eye socket and reaching for Wilson’s gun. Yet, Obama never retracted his condemnation of Wilson or his praise of Brown. Instead, Obama continued to publicly support the radical Black Lives Matter anti-law enforcement mantra.
During the 2008 elections, two members of the New Black Panthers were videoed intimidating voters to vote for Barack Obama. Voter intimidation is a federal felony and charges were filed against the two men, until the Attorney General Eric Holder instructed his Justice Department to drop all charges. J. Christian Adams was the DOJ attorney originally assigned to prosecute the case, but when he received orders from Holder, he was so upset at the overt disrespect for upholding the law that he resigned from the DOJ. Many suspected the orders to dismiss the slam dunk case came from the White House since Obama had marched with the New Black Panthers a couple years earlier.
The same New Black Panther group recklessly offered a bounty for the head of George Zimmerman after he killed Trayvon Martin, a black teen thug. The same New Black Panther group also called for the killing of police officers as retaliation of Martin and Brown. Neither Obama nor Holder ever publicly said anything to condemn these actions of Obama black activist buddies. Their silence could only have been taken as support for the anarchist actions of the New Black Panthers.
Since that time, the number of attacks on police officers in the country have been increasing. Two years after the Ferguson shooting, the number of police officers shot and killed in the line of duty had skyrocketed by 44%. In July of this year, five Dallas police officers were ambushed and killed.
In New York City, police officers have come under greater attacks, often carried out by angry blacks. In December 2014, two NYPD officers were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car. Both officers were shot and killed execution style by a black man as revenge for the Ferguson shooting of Brown and the death of Eric Garner. Other revenge attacks on police officers, some fatal and others non-fatal, were reported throughout the nation.
Thanks to anti-police activists like Obama, many members of the community have become anti-police as well. Last month, New Orleans police were called to Loyola University because a police officer still in uniform with his gun, was in a class. Turns out the police officer was a student and didn’t have time to change before class. A woman in Texas was refused service by a supermarket cashier because she was wearing a t-shirt that read ‘police lives matter.’ The woman is the wife of a police officer and the cashier was a black woman.
According to a recent report, 2016 saw 64 police officers killed in firearm related incidents. That’s an increase of 56% over 2015:
“Those shooting deaths included 21 deaths in ambush-style shootings, ‘the highest total in more than two decades,’ NLEOMF said in a statement.”
“The rise was partly fueled by a few high-profile shootings that took the lives of multiple officers, NLEOMF notes:”
“‘Eight multiple-shooting death incidents claimed the lives of 20 officers in 2016, tied with 1971 for the highest total of any year since 1932. Those incidents included five officers killed in ambush attacks in Dallas (TX) and three in Baton Rouge (LA) spanning 10 days in July.’”
“Overall, including traffic fatalities and other causes, 135 police officers died in the line of duty in 2016, NLEOMF says. That’s 10 percent more than died last year, and the largest tally since 2011, when 177 officers died — 73 of them in firearms-related incidents.”
I have friends and family in law enforcement and they all say that Obama has helped to create a national anti-police hysteria causing millions to mistrust, disrespect and hate police officers. One friend said it was safer for him to be a sergeant in an Army special forces unit in the Middle East than it is being a police officer in a big city like St. Louis.
Hopefully, Donald Trump will be more supportive of America’s law enforcement personnel as well as military personnel. It will be nice to have a president who supports police instead of criminals.
