Meet an 8-Ton Beautiful & Adoptable Mammal that Can Jump 15 Feet in the Air [video]

An incredible sight to behold is a beautiful sea mammal enjoying the beauty of creation in its natural habitat. Orcas weigh roughly eight tons and can jump 15 feet out of the water.

Orcas are the most powerful predators of the ocean and are the largest members of the dolphin family. They are highly intelligent, adaptable and excel at communicating and coordinating hunting. There has never been a documented case of an orca attacking a person in the wild, only reports of orcas protecting people from sharks.

They can often be spotted off the West Coast from California to Alaska.

People can adopt an orca through the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC). The WDC’s adoption orcas, Fife and his extended family, including Bend and her baby can be seen and heard talking to each other in the WDC’s video below:
