The media acts like their record of refusing to investigate corrupt Hillary Clinton counts as proof that allegations are false.
Corrupt Hillary Clinton couldn’t be a major Presidential candidate without the collusion of the major media. Donald Trump’s recent speech was so good, opponents had to admit it was damaging. But they insisted he lied about Hillary’s $140-million-dollar alleged kickback.
Here is a typical example of how the media is handling Trump’s accusation at Slate.com under the headline, “Trump’s Speech About Hillary Was Terrifyingly Effective.”
Michelle Goldberg writes,
The point is not that this is true; as political analyst David Gergen said on CNN, the speech was slanderous. But the lies in the speech, many taken from Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash, were not obviously self-refuting. At one point, Trump said, citing Schweizer, “Hillary Clinton’s State Department approved the transfer of 20 percent of America’s uranium holdings to Russia, while nine investors in the deal funneled $145 million to the Clinton Foundation.” This has been debunked many times over, including by FactCheck.org.
To explain why it’s not true, though, you have to go into details about Clinton’s role on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which approved the sale of a Canadian-based energy company with American mining stakes to Russia’s nuclear energy agency.
Can you imagine a Trump supporter getting away with this kind of analysis? First, she refers to a known Hillary partisan as an unimpeachable source of neutral and objective information. She might as well have asked Chelsea for a verdict on Trump’s statements. Then she admits that it is hard to refute the lie because all of the “details”—though at the same time it has been “debunked many times over” somehow despite all the complexity.
Again, can you imagine Trump saying an accusation against him was false but he couldn’t refute it because there were too many details? The fact is that the charge hasn’t been refuted, and “journalists” who try to prove the charge false make fools of themselves.
Donald Trump is exposing corrupt Hillary Clinton. Just as in the case of Bill Clinton’s war on women, aided by Hillary, the media is using their history of refusing to cover allegations as proof that they are false. It’s not working.
