How did a Maryland Elementary School Allow Children to be Abused, involved in Child Porn?

A volunteer aide has been charged with child pornography in suburban Maryland. This case is getting more serious as more and more is learned. So far there are at least seventeen victims have been identified.

Fox news reports

Federal prosecutors are set to detail the latest allegations in a widening child pornography scandal at a suburban Maryland elementary school.
Prince George’s County police say 22-year-old Deonte Carraway abused at least 17 children. According to police, he made sexually explicit videos of children at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School in Glenarden, where he worked as a volunteer teacher’s aide. Carraway’s public defender declined to comment Tuesday.

Caraway has been accused of recording these young victims having sex with him and each other. This vile behavior has caused the community to have doubt in the school. And there seems to be a good reason.

ABC reports

The school’s principal has been placed on leave. According to the lawsuits, she didn’t follow up on complaints about Carraway and didn’t go directly to police when she was shown one of the videos.

This as Fox reports have led to lawsuits by these parents. Based on what is being reported, the school system has failed the kids and the parents. It seems that the school and their reputation was placed as a higher priority than the safety of these children. But school was not the only place that Carraway found his victims.

Fox reports

Police say Carraway also victimized children at a church, pool, a community center, and several homes.

We are going to see more of this kind of behavior as we move further and further from the truth.
