There is nothing that people hate more than for an outsider to misrepresent them. If you are talking to an atheist, you should not assume what they believe or why. It is plain rude not to give them the opportunity to tell you what they believe. It is also wrong for us to judge the motives of others. Only God can see the heart; therefore, it is a sin to try and do this with others.
We find that Pope Francis is guilty of both. Having had a conversation with one group of Muslims, he felt that he was the authority of their religion and announced that terrorism was not a Muslim thing, but an economic war. Now ISIS has called him out.
The Islamic State terror group has come out publicly to reject Pope Francis’ claims that the war being waged by Islamic terrorists is not religious in nature, assuring the pontiff that their sole motivation is religious and sanctioned by Allah in the Qur’an.
“This is a divinely-warranted war between the Muslim nation and the nations of disbelief,” the authors state in an article titled “By the Sword.”
Pope Francis “has struggled against reality” in his efforts to portray Islam as a religion of peace, the article insists, before going on to urge all Muslims to take up the sword of jihad, the “greatest obligation” of a true Muslim.
So, why the disconnect? Well, it is the same with the humanist Pope as it is with the humanist Left. They have a false view of people. They believe that basically, all people are good. Given the right amount of opportunity and felt needs, they will seek peace. But this is not even close to what we have experienced with Islam. And this false thinking is addressed in the ISIS article.
The fact is, even if you were to stop bombing us, imprisoning us, torturing us, vilifying us, and usurping our lands, we would continue to hate you because our primary reason for hating you will not cease to exist until you embrace Islam. Even if you were to pay jizyah [tax for infidels] and live under the authority of Islam in humiliation, we would continue to hate you.
We have to recognize the fact that these people will never stop, they have to be stopped.
