Liberal Jew Slams Democrats for Politicizing Sean Spicer’s Comments on Nazis and Chemical Weapons

The brilliant liberal legal mind, Professor Alan Dershowitz, is not letting his fellow Democrats get away with their demagoguery of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

Last week, Spicer foolishly tried to explain just how terrible Bashar Assad’s use of chemical weapons was by comparing the Syrian dictators to Hitler. It was a mistake and Spicer immediately faced pushback for the comparison. However, just as quickly as the pushback began, Spicer acknowledged his mistake and offered a heartfelt apology, saying that it was “painful to myself to know I said something like that.”

“In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust. I was trying to draw a distinction of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers. Any attack on innocent people is reprehensible and inexcusable.”

Sadly, liberals and their friends in the media, have decided not to forgive and forget and have instead been using the comments to bludgeon Spicer and the Trump administration. Using the pretense of defending the Jews as a means to attack their political opponents, is not something that Dershowitz believes is ever okay, because it belittles the reality of anti-Semitism. As Dershowitz explains, it’s easy to see that Spicer was not saying anything anti-Semitic, nor is he an anti-Semite. Instead, Dershowitz argues that Spicer simply made a mistake by trying to speak hyperbolically and simply grasped the first (and wrong) analogy that came to mind.

“What happened here is [Spicer] screwed up. And he apologized from his heart, and I am prepared to give him a pass on this. You know who I am not prepared to give a pass on this? The Democratic National Committee. They have immediately decided to politicize this, and they sent out immediate Tweets saying ‘We can’t tolerate even a whiff of anti-Semitism.’ This is the Democratic National Committee, who has as its co-chairman Keith Ellison, who didn’t recognize the fact that he was working for an anti-Semite, Farrakhan. This is just hypocrisy and I think we should not make politics out of this…

This is something that should not be politicized. It was a mistake, you don’t make analogies to Hitler, he apologized profusely and from the heart, lets put it behind us and not let the Anne Frank people take advantage of this. Let’s not let the Democrats take advantage of this. Let’s understand this was a mistake, he apologized, and let’s move on.”

Here is Spicer’s heartfelt apology:
