At one point in our not-so-distant past, our nation’s leaders and legislators were the bastions of class and poise, and when they spoke, the world was forced to listen.
Some of the planet’s most important and succinct leaders have come from these United States of America: A nation founded on principle of equality, liberty, and the sovereignty required to pursue every last dream of every last American. Like many of the world’s greatest beings, American leaders for decades understood that to achieve at the highest level possible, you must maintained poised, proficient, and, above all, tactful.
Class and dignity also go hand in hand. Your innate ability to feel shame and guilt are tools, given to you by your creator in order to temper the confidence and courage that you were also gifted with. There is a delicate balance of emotions that must be present in any one human being’s most powerful works, and that balance is often determined by those achievers’ ability to maintain that poise.
In the more succinct words of my blue collar, farmboy-done-good father: You can do anything you want as long as you keep it classy.
Unfortunately for America, a massive cultural degradation has begun. No longer do we look upon the well-spoken and well-mannered as our only heroes. There are countless individual suckling off the teat of the unwashed and perverse “counter” culture. Their vulgarity is somehow their talent. Their overt ability to shock and awe the American people with lewd, crude, and uncouth language has become a somehow admiral feat. In recent weeks, it seems that some of the nation’s most prominent leftists and liberals have taken this low road into the headlines. Joining that infamous pack of potty-mouths is none other than Democratic Senator Kamala Harris.
“Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez isn’t the only member of his party who’s using salty language to criticize the Republican health care plan.
“Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) dropped the “f-bomb” while discussing the GOP’s ObamaCare repeal and replacement plan at a public event in San Francisco over the weekend.
“Harris took aim at Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID), who took heavy criticism for saying ‘nobody dies because they don’t have access to health care.’
“‘Like this guy, this congressman, you might as well say, “Well, people don’t starve because they don’t have food.” What the f*** is that?’ Harris said to laughs and applause from the crowd.
“Harris was discussing the health care bill during a live taping of the podcast ‘Pod Save America,’ which included former Obama aides Jon Favreau, Dan Pfeiffer, Jon Lovett and Tommy Vietor.”
Harris’ unwarranted language comes merely days after liberal television host Stephen Colbert absurdly and grotesquely described an act of fellatio between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin on national television. Complaints against Colbert unfit-to-print comments has now led the FCC to investigate the comedian for lewdness, with possible fines still on the way for Colbert and his network.
