The below map, in just 72 seconds, portrays the changes of political rule spanning over 600 years. Islamic invasions began in the mid 700s but this map begins in the year 1300 when the Ottoman Empire became the ruling system for the majority of Sunni Muslims.
Reclaiming the land that was once under Ottoman control, covering several continents, which was never theirs to begin with, is fundamental to Islamic rule.
