Jesse Jackson Demands Chicago Close This Detention Facility Because It’s “Racist”

The St Lawrence Gang, Chicago.

As if the situation could not become more insanely delusional in Chicago, the self-proclaimed racist Jesse Jackson recently demanded that Chicago close its historic Homan Square because of– wait for it– racism.

“Homan Square is an international disgrace,” Jackson said on Monday after The Guardian exposed alleged corruption within the Chicago Police Department. It’s exclusive report, “Inside the Secret Violence of Homan Square,” creates a portrait of “detainees,” and claims the outcome of its investigation is the resignation of Officer Nicholas Roti, who oversaw police operations at an ubiquitous warehouse located in Homan Square.

The Homan Square warehouse is the police headquarters for the anti-narcotics, anti-gang, anti-vice and intelligence, and property reclamation units.

According to The Guardian‘s review of internal Chicago Police Department documents, at least 7,300 people were allegedly held at Homan Square “without a contemporaneous public record of their whereabouts.” Meaning, over 7,000 blacks went “missing.”

The Guardian reports that more than 80 percent of the known Homan Square detainees were black; and less than one percent of those arrested allegedly received access to an attorney. The Associated Press cites activists and attorneys who label Homan Square as “the domestic equivalent” to a “CIA black site.” Likewise, numerous reports indicate class action “civil rights, social justice, and racial discrimination” lawsuits against the Chicago Police Department are imminent.

But is it racist if blacks are committing the majority of crimes in Chicago, and mostly against other blacks? Is black on black crime racist?

Here is what none of these reports reveal: Chicago has a massive black on black crime epidemic– that causes more deaths than war.

Dead Chicagoans total slightly less than those killed fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined.

Between 2001–Nov. 26, 2015 7,401 people were murdered in Chicago. U.S. military who died because of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2015), 4,815, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan (2001-2015), 3,506, total 8,321.

According to the 2010 Census, one third, 33 percent, of Chicago’s population is black. According to data released by the Chicago Police Department, in 2011, the majority of homicide victims and offenders were young black men.

Young black men are disproportionately committing crimes, more than any other racial demographic– combined.

Yes, there is racism– black on black racism. (Like Jackson calling Obama a “nigger.”)

In 2011 alone, 77 percent of all homicide victims had a prior arrest history, and 90% were young men, of whom 75.3 percent were young, black men.

Of the 140 convicted offenders (who only account for 29 percent of those actually prosecuted) 87 percent had a prior arrest history, and 88 percent were young black men, the majority of whom were between the ages of 17-25-years old.

Homicide Victims by Age:

Homicide Victims by Race:

Offenders by Age:

Offenders by Race:

The data depicts the reality with which Chicago Police are facing: a culture ripe with crime and death as great, if not greater, than a war zone. And the criminals are primarily young, black men– who are primarily killing other young black men.

Why are blacks disproportionately killing blacks, compared to any other racial group in America?

Is it racist that more blacks are murdered by blacks than than other group of people?

Is it racist that only 13 percent of the U.S. population have committed more than half of the homicides in America for the last roughly 30 years?

According to the Department of Justice, statistics reveal that between 1980 and 2008, blacks committed 52 percent of all homicides.

More blacks may be disproportionately held by police, but statistics show that in 2012 alone, blacks– just 1/5th of the population of criminals, committed nearly 1,000 more murders that whites. In 2012, white men accounted for 38 percent of the population and committed 4,582 murders; whereas black men accounted for 6.6 percent of the population and committed 5,531 murders.

And, when it comes to “police injustice,” Breitbart News points to research conducted by University of Toledo criminologist Dr. Richard R. Johnson, who examined FBI crime data from its Supplementary Homicide Reports and Centers for Disease Control. Johnson found that an average of 4,472 black men were killed by other black men every year between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012. Johnson also concluded that 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police-involved killings annually over this same time-period.

And, according to The Guardian‘s, The Counted, research last year, of the roughly 1,000 people killed by police in America in 2015, 502 were white, 250 were black, 163 were Hispanic/Latino, 18 were Asian/Pacific Islander, 13 were American Indian, and 54 were other/unknown.

If The Guardian wants to accurately represent the war zone of Chicago, it should have clarified that it would take police in America 40 YEARS to kill as many black men as those who were killed by other blacks– in just one year– (2012) alone.

Injustice exists. Within the Black Community alone. Where is Jackson on “restoring” the black community and helping young black men avoid and leave a life of violence and crime?
