American political discourse has taken an unprecedented turn this week as radicalized leftist James Hodgkinson opened fire on a congressional baseball game.
The incident, which occurred early in the morning on Wednesday, shook the nation. It was well known and implicitly understood that the democrats, progressives, and liberals of America were attempting to create a “resistance” movement, aimed at undermining the President. What was less obvious, however, was the violence that they were willing to employ in order to achieve their goals.
The mainstream media, of course, was slow to classify Hodgkinson’s actions as “politically motivated”, due to their overwhelming bias against conservatives. Instead, the “news” hoped to pass off the incident as the work of a crazed and unhinged gunman with no clear reasoning.
A vast majority of Americans rolled their eyes at the attempted whitewashing, and now, a key piece of evidence has been discovered that reiterates Hodgkinson’s political motives.
“James T. Hodgkinson, the shooter who opened fire on dozens of Republican congressmen and staffers at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, on Wednesday, had a list of Republican names in his pocket that was recovered by the FBI, The Daily Caller has learned.
“The news that the shooter had a list of names suggests the shooting was not a random outburst, but instead appears to be a premeditated political assassination.
“The list was written out on notepad paper and found in the shooter’s pocket, according to multiple sources with intimate knowledge of the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of the investigation. The list of names included Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan and Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, TheDC has confirmed. Fox News reported after this story that Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Tennessee Rep. Scott DesJarlais and Virginia Rep. Morgan Griffith are also on the list. All six congressmen are members of the House Freedom Caucus, which contains the lower chamber’s most conservative members.”
Hodgkinson’s actions were merely the latest in a long line of anti-Trump maneuvers by the left, but they were by far the most damning.
Radical leftists have long been working to undermine the nation’s conservative slant through the use of violence and hatred, and this latest assault on the GOP fits wholly within this reality. Political discourse, at least on the liberal side of things, has become an unstable cluster of violence and vitriol, making the actions of this crazed madmen nearly a predictable step in the left’s march toward civil war.
