Democrats Don’t “Get” Science, the Debate is Never “Settled”

I recently received this snarky email from the leftwing fundraisers at Organizing for Action (OFA).

The organization was attempting to get me to donate to their cause by lying to me about climate science, and by mocking Republicans who might be skeptical of leftwing fear mongering on the issue.

Here’s what the email said:

Now, here’s how I replied to the fear mongering liars at OFA:

Dear OFA,

The debate is never over in science.  You know nothing about it if you say that.  We now have basic questions about the speed of light and gravity that were seemingly settled 300 years ago.  The speed of light is slowing and not the same everywhere astronomers are now able to see.  Same story for gravity.

The “97% of all scientists” has been shown false in several follow-up studies of both Naomi Oreskes original work, for which SCIENCE published an “errata.”  Doran and Zimmerman who did the second, confirming study, were unable to prove they had surveyed the 10,625 members of the American Geophysical Society as they claimed not having paid for the mailing list, printing of questionnaires and postage, but only receipts for 100 Department Chairs with hiring authority as grad student Zimmerman was looking for a job so both studies were declared fakes, but President Obama and you now quote them freely!  We suppose it is just a, “If you like your study you can keep your study” thing, “Period!”  Time to let go, Democrats.
