As the contest for the next chairman for the Democrat National Committee comes down to the wire it is becoming clear that the party still doesn’t want to open its tent to the millions of white voters who fled the party to vote for Donald Trump. In fact, one candidate is now saying she sees it as her duty to “shut white people down” if she were lucky enough to be voted in to take over the party’s chairmanship.
These foolish words were spoken by DNC Chair candidate Sally Boynton Brown, the current executive director of Idaho’s Democratic Party. Brown’s jaw dropping comments were made at a recent forum for the seven DNC Chair candidates held at Georgetown University on January 23.
It appears that, as far as Brown is concerned, the Democrat Party hasn’t bashed white people enough and going forward should not let white people speak in the party. I don’t mean figuratively, either. She said it flat out.
Here is how Brown, herself a white woman, envisioned her job as the next DNC Chairperson:
[The conversation about race in the party] tells me that white leaders in our party have failed. We have to accept the various prejudice that exists within our own party and we have to be able to have that conversation… I’m a white woman, I don’t ‘get it.’ … I am listening. And that’s my job. My job is to listen to the issues. My job is to listen and be a voice and shut other white people down when they want to interrupt. My job is to shut other white people down when they say ‘Oh, no, I’m not prejudice.’ I’m a Democrat, I’m accepting. My job is to make sure that they get that they have privilege and until we shut our mouths and we listen to those people… We have to, at the DNC, provide training. We have to teach [our people] how to communicate. How to be sensitive and how to shut their mouths if they are white.”
Mz Brown isn’t the only far, far leftist running to replace the last two disgraced DNC Chairwomen. The other six candidates are also striving to grab attention by appealing to fringe, left-wing groups, according to TruthRevolt.com.
One of the earliest announced candidates for the position was radical Muslim and Democrat Congressman from Minnesota Keith Ellison. The estimable Rep. Ellison made waves after his announcement as a candidate to lead the party not for what he said at the time, but for his many pro-terrorist and anti-American statements of the past.
Ellison has been heard repeatedly defending communist tyrant Fidel Castro as well as praising anti-Semite and anti-American Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan.
Rep. Ellison has been linked to Louis Farrakhan going back at least as far as 1989 and over the years has made many laudatory comments about the Jew-hating leader of the faux religious sect.
The Minnesota Congressman has also praised Fidel Castro as a great leader despite running his island nation like a prison for over 50 years.
With his comments at the candidate forum, Ellison also played the race card throughout. He raised the often debunked claim that blacks suffer “mass incarceration” in the U.S.A. and then flat out lied by telling his audience that Trayvon Martin was “executed” by a white person.
The several other candidates also waxed poetic crying victimization and whining about race issues and other identity politics.
Former Fox News lefty guest analyst Jehmu Greene insisted that Black Lives Matter should be the central tenet of the Democrat Party and noted that as a Fox News guest he knows that all Republicans lie.
Ray Buckley, the current chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party and another white candidate, also tried to outdo the black candidates on the stage by insisting that blacks in American have “justified fear” of whites in the wake of Donald Trump’s election.
Pete Buttigieg, the white mayor of South Bend, Indiana, didn’t just one up Buckley, he about six-upped him by claiming that he personally fills half a dozen minority slots. “I’m a walking intersectionality. I’m a left-handed, Maltese-American, Episcopalian, gay, war veteran,” he blurted out that night.
But it’s easy to attack these nuts when looking at them in isolation. Sadly, they are speaking to the mainstream of the Democrat Party these days.
It seems every last member of the party is speaking these absurdities these days. Take a former spokesperson for losing Democrat candidate for president Bernie Sanders, for instance. Only two months ago Symone Sanders was insisting that the Democrat Party should get rid of all its white “leaders.”
“In my opinion, we don’t need white people leading the Democratic Party right now,” she said in November on CNN. “The Democratic Party is diverse, and it should be reflected as so in our leadership and throughout the staff at the highest levels from the vice chairs to the secretaries all the way down to the people working in the offices at the DNC.”
And these people are all vying to replace the last two DNC leaders, both of whom left their office under a cloud if not in outright disgrace.
During the past Democrat National Convention then chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz was forced to resign for her secret, backroom efforts to torpedo the candidacy of Bernie Sanders, thereby taking away the ability of Democrat voters to make their choice between Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Schultz lost her job for engineering the primary win for Clinton no matter what anyone else wanted.
Then, Donna Brazile, the woman who replaced the disgraced and fired Schultz, ended up being outed as having used her job as a “journalist” to help Clinton get a sneak peek at questions that were to be asked at a town hall so that she could prepare ahead of time despite that the town hall was supposed to be spontaneous.
Brazile, who worked at CNN during the primary campaigns, was outed by WikiLeaks which released a series of emails she sent to the Clinton campaign. The emails proved Brazille, who later became the interim DNC chair, had secretly sent the questions to Clinton in order to help Hillary sound like a more informed candidate than her opponent Bernie Sanders. Naturally Sanders was not supplied the questions head of time so he had to respond using his wits.
So, this is today’s Democrat Party. The very party that lost the election because it chased away its white voters is still barreling headlong down the path that will insure that it will lose even more than the 1,000 seats it has already lost across the country since 2008, the year Barack Obama took over the presidency.
