The global warming hoaxers have been so thoroughly trounced in recent years that they’ve begun insisting that we use the phrase “climate change” instead.
The reason being is that their purported global “warming” has been refuted time and again by science and the human experience. With ski resorts on both coasts of the U.S. operating their chairlifts into June and July, the supposed “warming” of the planet is the environmental equivalent of Washington D.C.’s “nothing burger”. By utilizing the phrase “climate change”, these fraudulent and farcical fakes can claim that the weather will be both cold and warm as a result of man-made greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, they consistently point to evidence of more turbulent and deadly natural disasters to back up their insane theories.
Now, as data for the first half of 2017 shows, these climate change hoaxers will need a new angle once again, with natural disasters proving far less intense than in the previous decade.
“Natural catastrophes worldwide were less devastating in the first half of 2017 than the average over the past 10 years, reinsurer Munich Re said Tuesday, while highlighting the role of climate change in severe US storms.
“Some 3,200 people lost their lives to disasters between January and June, the German group found — well short of the 10-year average of 47,000 for the period or the 5,100 deaths in the first half of 2016.
“April floods and landslides in Colombia that claimed 329 lives were the deadliest single event.
“Elsewhere, an April-June heatwave in India killed 264 people, while floods, landslides and avalanches claimed around 200 lives in Sri Lanka, 200 in Afghanistan and 200 Bangladesh.
“Disasters inflicted a financial cost of around $41 billion in the first six months, Munich Re reported.
“That was less than half of the $111 billion toll in the same period last year, or the average of $102 billion over the past 10 years.”
This revelation couldn’t come at a worse time for the liberal global warming alarmists, who are facing an unprecedented lack of credibility in recent years.
Worse yet for the climate chicanery of the left, scientists are predicting that our sun will soon relapse into a period of prolonged calm known as the Maunder Minimum, in which solar activity will decrease to the point where decades’ worth of cooling will occur. Some have even suggested that we could be headed for a miniature ice age, similar to that experienced by planet Earth in the decades between 1645 and 1715 A.D.
