Nate Parker’s new movie Birth Of A Nation is set to release on October 7th. Parker purposely named it after D.W. Griffith’s 1915 movie depicting the beginnings of the Ku Klux Klan. Parker says his movie sets the record straight. Unfortunately, it will only flame the fires of Black Lives Matter, just as the original did with the KKK.
Griffith’s movie is set in post-Civil War times. It characterizes blacks as violent and murderers who rape white women. Southern whites are portrayed as helpless victims terrorized by the deplorable ex-slaves. The heroes of the movie are the KKK, who ride in on white horses to defend the slave owners and save the day.
Furthermore, Griffin tried to discredited black legislatures, who were filling Congress at the time as Republicans. Griffin displayed them as loud, vulgar, unprofessional vagabonds.
By 1915, the KKK had all but disappeared. Griffin’s movie single-handedly rebirthed the racist and savage organization. Progressive Democrat President Woodrow Wilson embraced the movie. He gave it the honor of the first motion picture ever to be shown in the White House.
Wilson was very proud of Birth of a Nation as it included quotes from his own book, History of the American People:
“The white men were roused by a mere instinct of self-preservation…until at last there had sprung into existence a great Ku Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern country.”
Also included: “The result. The Ku Klux Klan, the organization that saved the South from the anarchy of black rule, but not without the shedding of more blood than at Gettysburg, according to Judge Tourgee of the carpet-baggers.”
Wilson proclaimed, “It is like writing history with lightning, and my only regret is that it is all so terribly true,” after the screening.
Within 10 years of the movie’s release, membership in the KKK had swelled to 6 million strong. The KKK quickly returned as “The Terrorist Arm of the Democrat Party.”
Parker wants to show the racism of the south as it truly was during slavery. He chose Nat Turner’s Rebellion as his story to tell. Griffith’s movie fabricated the complete defenselessness and victimization of whites. But Turner’s Rebellion actually reinforces Griffin’s argument for the white man’s fear, not destroys it.
On August 21, 1831, Nat Turner and six other slaves took off towards Jerusalem, Virginia. Their goal was to raid the town’s armory, then head to Dismal Swamp where capture would be nearly impossible. If Turner had stuck to this plan, he would have been a Harriet Tubman. Instead, he became a mass murderer.
Turner began by executing his owner, Joseph Travis, along with the entire family. Turner’s group grew to approximately 75 men on their march to the armory. Along the way, they slaughtered 60 whites. Some were attacked and killed in their homes. Others were chased, caught and murdered on the road.
A few miles before Jerusalem, an armed resistance of 3,000 militia and local whites intercepted Turner’s group. The slave rebels scattered but were quickly caught or killed. Sadly, several innocent slaves were also killed in the confusion.
Many believe Turner’s Rebellion was the event that actually freed the slaves. That is a purposeful, Progressive lie. The truth is it made slavery worse. Legislatures quickly began passing Slave Laws all across the south. New stricter and harsher Black Codes squeezed the chains even tighter around the necks of the slaves.
At the time, a push for emancipation was gaining momentum. Turner’s Rebellion all but extinguished the abolition movement. A war and Republican President Abraham Lincoln brought emancipation 32 years later, not Turner.
Parker may have corrected Griffin’s misrepresentation of the southern slave owners, but at what cost? The danger is he used a violent, deadly rebellion to tell his story. Making a movie about an event where blacks were violent savages hardly sets the record straight about a movie that depicts blacks as violent savages.
If Parker really wanted to decimate Griffin’s movie then he should have done Fredrick Douglas, Hiram Rhodes Revels, Harriet Tubman, Ida B. Wells, or any one of the amazing, black Americans who fought racism peacefully. They used their intelligence to prove southern whites wrong, not guns and axes.
In 1915, whites left the theaters enraged. They sought out blacks on the streets. Whites harassed and assaulted blacks, with at least one recorded death. Black Lives Matter groups are already chanting “Kill the pigs” and “Kill whitey.” A New Black Panther leader even has “Kill Whitey” tattooed on his face. A Florida home, roadside wall, and local business were recently vandalized with graffiti stating “Kill White People,” “BLM” and “Black Lives Matter”.
Parker’s movie is poised to embolden the BLM movement exactly the same way the original invigorated the KKK. As whites were encouraged by the KKK fighting back, BLM will receive the same message from Turner’s revolt. Such violent behavior is often done to incite fear by empowering a radical group. With the current atmosphere on America’s streets, this is the perfect prescription for BLM to become our next KKK.
Republicans made huge strides during Reconstruction to desegregate society, especially in the government. Wilson, a major advocate of Griffin’s movie, resegregated federal agencies. America again made incredible advances in equalizing the races after the Civil Rights movement. BLM is now demanding to be separated and are segregating themselves. Their supporters have already been violent and hateful to whites. How much more empowered will they feel when they watch a movie of a slaves waging war on slave owners?
Such an uprising will actually be devastating to the Black Lives Matter cause. Turner’s Rebellion resulted in an even heavier hand on the slaves. Americans in general will not get behind and support a movement motivated by violence, destruction and murder. It is why Martin Luther King truly affected change while Malcolm X did not.
Progressive Democrat President Wilson fostered and encouraged the KKK revival. Progressive Democrat President Obama helped birth and nurture the BLM movement. Just like Wilson, Obama not only approves of the unrest, he participates in it.
The Cambridge police “acted stupidly.”
The Fraternal Order of Police needs “to acknowledge this is not good for police.”
Obama invited BLM leaders into the White House just like Wilson invited Griffin’s Birth Of A Nation. All Obama has left to do is to endorse Parker’s Birth of a Nation and it will be 1915 all over again.
One thing is for sure. Democrats are still enacting Slaves Laws designed to keep the black population in check and in control. They are pushing gun laws that will ultimately keep firearms out of the hands of blacks. Inner city schools are a disgrace. A black child’s education in America is abysmal. The government plantation housing the owners provide for their political slaves is not much more than what Nat Turner himself experienced.
The Democrats cannot bear to loose their power and hold over the black population. They are planning on setting up voter registration booths at the movie theaters showing Birth Of A Nation. So after seeing a movie recounting a rebellion against Democrat slaves owners, moviegoers are going to sign up to vote for Democrat slave owners.
Progressives have rewritten our history. They have completely distorted or outright lied about it. Honest BLM supporters are frustrated and furious. Blacks have been indoctrinated to believe that the very people oppressing them and keeping them enslaved, are actually their saviors.
Hillary Clinton insists she is a Progressive. Her policies originate with and mirror those of Woodrow Wilson. Yet the black community overwhelmingly supports her. How ironic that the party of the KKK is now also the party of BLM in just 100 years.
I pray for our country. The chaos has only just begun.
But that’s just my 2 cents.
