Find Out Why This Male Student Is Being Allowed to Compete Against Female Athletes

I feel like I shouldn’t have to write entire columns on common sense, but as we enter into the age of insanity, it looks like I have to.

I was perusing my Facebook feed last night, and came across an article from The Daily Caller about a transgender high school student in Alaska competing in track and field. The student, who was born male, but now identifies as female, made the finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter events.

When I began reading the article, I thought it was satire. Trans issues are the current cause celebre among leftists, so I assumed it was a lampooning of liberal huffing and puffing. I thought, ‘There’s no way a biological male is being allowed to compete with biological females.’

There’s a reason men and women compete separately in nearly every sport. Men are physically stronger than women. I’m aware of exceptions to the rule, but 98% of the time, men have a obvious physical advantage on women.

When I finished reading the piece, and saw the citations of CBS News, and Alaska Dispatch News, I squinted at my screen. ‘This can’t be real; it’s illogical,’ I thought. Then I realized I live in a world in which liberals exist, and everything came into focus.

It’s quite real.

The Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) recently decided to allow individual schools and school districts to handle trans issues as they relate to athletics.

Alaska Dispatch News writes that the Haines Borough School District policy reads:

“For the purposes of gender identification for interscholastic activities, the district will consider the gender identity based on the student’s consistent declaration of gender identity, their actions, attitude, dress and mannerisms.”

So, biological men can compete with biological women…in sports.

Jim Minnery, president of the conservative group Alaska Family Action, protested the decision, saying it was extremely unfair to female athletes.

He added that it violates Title IX, which states:

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

This is de facto discrimination against female athletes.

Take away everything else. Take away the fact that I believe transgender individuals suffer from a gender dysphoria that needs to be treated psychologically, and not indulged. Take away the raging debate regarding transgender rights–as it relates to restrooms or anything else. Standing alone, how can anyone look at this and say it’s okay?

Any rational person would look at this and see a preternaturally strong individual competing against others who simply can’t match up on a physical level.

But the Left isn’t rational, they’re agenda driven.

The Left moves from one issue to the next in their accumulation of social power, and the transgender movement is the next frontier. They’ve used the gay community, and gotten all they could from them. Now that gay issues aren’t socially lucrative, they’ve moved on to trans issues.

By “socially lucrative,” I mean the Left exploits pet causes in order to make their side appear compassionate, and the other side appear cruel. Then, after the culture has been sufficiently brainwashed, they reap the benefits at the polls, thus furthering their power.

Don’t think for a second that the Left cares about people; they use them like batteries.

We’re indulging literal insanity, and I’m sad–not only for the people being fooled by the Left, but for those losing on the other side.

This is just the beginning. The trans movement will hurtle along, and this Alaskan side note will become the norm. Women will be discriminated against as biologically male athletes dominate their sports–and if we dare to say a word, the leftist mob will scream “BIGOT!”

Welcome to the age of insanity.
