A Gun Battle of the Highest Magnitude

There is a quiet development, which is escaping the attention of both the American people and the Media. With so many diversions, such as the Chinese Black Monday and the American stock market plunging, the increased stimulus by thugs and political organizers of cultural hatred such as racism, the verbal battles of the up and coming elections, the Hillary Clinton debacle, and the list goes on; We, the People, for the most part, have lost sight of the UN’s Small Arms Treaty. On September 2013, Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations Small Arms Treaty using a backdrop of lies and deceit. I wonder if he read it before signing. Reminds me of another famous statement, “…we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”

This disingenuous Secretary of State indicated, “This treaty will not diminish anyone’s freedom. In fact, the treaty recognizes the freedom of both individuals and states to obtain, possess, and use arms for legitimate purposes. Make no mistake, we would never think about supporting a treaty that is inconsistent with the rights of Americans … to be able to exercise their guaranteed rights under our Constitution.” A lie of a high magnitude aimed at disarming America. Just read the treaty at the UN website.

The UN Arms Trade Treaty was written by the President and Hillary Clinton’s State Department in secret, to include Russia, China, France and Britain. Certainly not champions of freedom and liberty. What does the treaty essentially say?

  • Article 2 defines the conventional arms covered, which include battle tanks, artillery systems, combat aircraft, attack helicopters, warships, missiles, and “small arms and light weapons.”
  • Article 3 of the treaty places UN prohibitions on “ammunition/munitions fired, launched or delivered by the conventional arms covered under Article 2.”
  • Article 4 puts all “parts and components” of weapons within the structure of article two and three.
  • Article 5, Section 4 says each State Party “shall provide its national control list to the Secretariat (UN), which shall make it available to other States Parties.”

What does all of this mean? The federal government will provide the guns and ammo registration list to the UN, which in turn will provide it to Russia, China, Cuba or any and every State Party that wants it.

It is very plain to see that there will be a national control list of all that own weapons and ammo. There is no doubt that this is a national gun registration list. This list will not only be provided to the federal government, but will also be provided to our enemies abroad. This includes the United Nations. I do not ponder, in any way, shape or form, that the UN is a friend of the United States. In fact, the United States should stop all funding to the UN immediately. Kerry has insisted that this treaty is about, “…keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors.”

Kerry further stated, “This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes,” Kerry added. “This is about keeping Americans safe and keeping America strong. And this is about promoting international peace and global security.” Really?

If anyone supports the President’s administration, I pose this question. If this is about keeping weapons out of the hands of “terrorists” and “rogue actors,” why has this administration channeled money and weapons to our enemies abroad? I also pose this alarming question. In the President’s administration, what citizens are considered terrorists? There is no clear definition that can be given.

The government can designate whomever they want as terrorists. Just a couple of years or so ago, I was considered a drug addict and a conceivable domestic terrorist because I am a Vietnam Veteran. I do not use drugs and I certainly don’t terrorize others, especially at my age of seventy. While we are contemplating that, think about all the FEMA camps that exist across the country. Let’s throw another assessment question on the table that needs to be answered: What about “indefinite detention without charge or trial for terrorist” signed into law by the President in 2011?”

obama gunsWho are these rogue actors? Individuals will have to deal with the documentation that this administration has put out and the results could be that the terrorists are just noble patriotic Americans. One can only conclude: They are after our guns. How does this President stand on gun control? He is a Gun Control Cheerleader: He introduced a plan with 23 executive actions on gun control, most which would warrant congressional approval. Furthermore, in his 2014 State of the Union address, the President told Congress that he would push his gun control policies “with or without” them (Congress.) He already has. The gun treaty with the UN? His arrogance is astonishing.

How did Ronald Reagan stand as a 2nd Amendment Supporter: In 1975, Reagan wrote, “The gun has been called the great equalizer, meaning that a small person with a gun is equal to a large person, but it is a great equalizer in another way, too. It ensures that the people are the equal of their government whenever that government forgets that it is servant and not master of the governed.”

Let’s go back in history.  Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a gun control enthusiast. In 1934, FDR failed to get a bill through Congress to tax all firearms and create a federal registry of guns. Then in 1941, despite owning guns himself, he told Congress that we need a “world-wide reduction in armaments.” [Emphasis mine] With FDR and our current President, one could say that great socialistic minds think alike.

More history: Calvin Coolidge, Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush, and George W. Bush were all 2nd Amendment devotees. Me, too. I have a license to carry, a right to defend my home and stand my ground. Oh, but wait, I am a Vietnam Veteran who survived TET of ‘68 and back in ’72. Could there be a problem in my future? This is a gun battle concerning the 2nd Amendment.

Currently, the anti-gun crowd in Indianapolis, IN is working to strip law-abiding veterans and others of their gun constitutional rights for life. By flaunting millions of dollars in front of politicians in Indianapolis, this President’s Administration is seeking to collect personal information on as many law-abiding gun owners as possible, banning them from owning a firearm for the rest of their lives.

Once in the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) registration database, it’s virtually impossible for a name to be removed. In order to implement this backdoor gun ban, the President’s Administration will take advantage of “pro-gun” lackeys to give them cover. Unfortunately, Indiana Republican State Representative Thomas Washburne recently sponsored Senate Bill 331, the President’s Social Security Gun Ban. It is already gaining traction in the Indiana State Legislature.

It just passed through the Senate and has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee. This bill mandates that if a court assigns a caretaker to someone due to disability (Who determines that?), their guns are seized, their doctor-patient confidentiality is removed, and they are barred from exercising their Second Amendment rights for the rest of their life. There exists over 127,000 Social Security recipients and 476,000 veterans in Indiana, and all are at risk of losing their Constitutional rights to self-defense.

InfringedStripping away fundamental rights is no way to treat honest, law-abiding Americans, many of whom risked their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Accessing private health care records is the only way the gun grabbers can enforce this anti-gun scheme, and it’s the tag to taking away the gun rights from anyone they want. Make no mistake, State Representative Washburne is playing into the hands of left-wing billionaire gun grabbers such as Michael Bloomberg, George Soros, and the UN. The UN’s creed is: “One gun, one law, and one rule.” Do not be delusional to this notion.

This bill is an attack on the rights of honest, law-abiding Americans. We, the People must all stand together against the President’s gun battle being pushed right here in Indiana; my home state for starters. Let us absorb the words of Thomas Jefferson, “On Crimes and Punishment,” quoted by Thomas Jefferson in Commonplace Book, Category: Arms:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

My fellow American Patriots, we are in a gun battle of the highest magnitude. With an inept Congress of cave dwellers and a lame duck President, who has no regard for our Constitution, this gun confiscation must be stopped. Run the good race and fight the good battle; never surrender. It’s time to be proactive instead of bench warmers. One more quote from Thomas Jefferson, “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” And so it is!
