A New Movement Sweeping America: The Ninth and Tenth Amendment Coalition

Karl P. Koenigs and , Retired USAF 3E971 Readiness, and many others, have been spreading the word about a coalition of patriots banding together to defend the U.S. Constitution, specifically, the 9th and 10th Amendments, called the Solidarity for Ninth and TENTH Amendments Coalition.

Koenigs is the Coalition’s National Chairman and Senior Adviser, and leads several patriotic groups including the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, and the American Militia Freedom Forces, based in Marinette, Wisconsin.

The 9th and 10th Amendments are the last two of the Bill of Rights.

The Ninth Amendment:

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The Tenth Amendment:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Koenigs encourages citizens to join this Coalition to hold federal and state officials accountable for their failure to protect the Constitution. He writes, “‘we the people’ … ‘ordained and established’ UPON our elected Republican and Democrat public SERVANTS to ‘secure the Blessings of Liberty’ (meaning our wages, our salaries, our property, our INDIVIDUAL and States Rights, our State and Popular SOVEREIGNTY (under God) and our FREEDOM) to ourselves and our Posterity’ So Help US God.”

In an open letter posted on LinkedIn and Facebook, is a revised 21st Century version of the speech John Adams gave before the Continental Congress prior to the signing of The Declaration of Independence:

“Many have given you a grim prognostication of our national future, but where they foresee apocalypse I see hope. I see our Constitutional laws RESTORING AMERICA and thereby making We The People prosperous and, by the individual wealth and power of the American Middle Class ready to retake its place in the world. Not an empire, but a republic. And a republic of laws, not men.

 

“Ladies and Gentlemen Patriots, we are in the very midst of restoring CONSTITUTIONAL LAW and AMERICA. The most complete unexpected and remarkable RESTORATION of any in the history of the world. How few of the human race have ever had an opportunity of choosing a system of government for themselves, and their children?

 

“I am not without apprehensions, ladies and gentlemen. But the end that we have in sight is more than worth all the means. My belief says that the hour has come. My judgment approves this measure and my whole heart is in it. All that I have, all that I am and all that I hope in this life, I am now ready to stake upon it.

 

“While I’ll live, let me have a country. A free country. – Capt. Karl”

Koenigs asks Americans to support a “Joint State Sovereignty Resolution” with an “Arrest Provision,” for each of their state legislatures to implement. One provision includes:

Incremental State nullification of all unlawful acts and usurpations of all federal spending by Congress or the Executive Branch that exceeds the eighteen limits granted to them by Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, or prohibited by it to the States under Article I, Section 10.

Another requires that all state and local law enforcement personnel, all state National Guard members, all county sheriffs and Constitutional Militia be required to take mandatory courses on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Both, the Coalition argues, specifically secure and protect citizens’ wages, personal property, individual rights, states’ rights, state and popular sovereignty, the economy, and small businesses.

These two legal documents also secure and protect citizens’ jobs from federal government officials who usurp the Constitution’s limits on its powers. In fact, most spending by the federal government is completely unconstitutional. The federal government taxes and spends citizens’ earnings– a power it was never granted by the Founders in the Constitution.

“‘We the People’ recognize that both Republican and Democratic cronies buy and sell elections, transfer wealth, property, and rights to special interest voting blocs, mega-banks, global conglomerates and corporations, and foreign interests,” Koenigs adds.

Another provision ensures that state and local law enforcement agencies, state National Guard units, county sheriffs and Constitutional Militia are granted the ultimate authority and responsibility to arrest, jail, try and sentence federal agents and agencies who violate constitutionally designated rights granted to the federal government by the Constitution.

A sample resolution is provided on the Coalition’s social media sites for state legislatures to adopt.

Citizens in each local district can encourage their elected officials, specifically state assemblymen and women and state senators, as well as sheriffs, to “sponsor and facilitate the passage of” such a resolution.

In addition, citizens should ask the following of their elected officials:

  1. Why are the people in your state sending billions of dollars in income taxes to the federal government only to later beg for a few crumbs in the form of federal “grants” sent back to the states?
  2. Why are you allowing the federal government to spend beyond what the Constitution prohibits? The federal government is only permitted BY LAW to spend according to the eighteen items listed in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.
  3. Why do you continue to allow the federal government to tax citizens after the Supreme Court ruled that income taxes do not apply to Americans?
  4. And why after all eighteen criteria for federal spending is more than covered by “Constitutional” revenue streams, which exclude “any form” of income taxes, including the “flat tax.”

The Coalition relies on the emphasis of Founding Fathers Thomas Jefferson and James Madison who emphasized the importance of the states’ ability to nullify all UNLAWFUL federal spending, and all usurpation by acts of Congress and the Executive Branch.
